MES: make the shop floor transparent, controllable, traceable

A core module within our industry solutions. Can you trace a batch? Can you get data out of your equipment? Is scheduling still done by shouting? We scope by problem, not by concept. This page states scope, integration, deployment and implementation so you can verify each item.

Scope

  • Batch traceability
  • Equipment connectivity: SECS/GEM, OPC UA, Modbus
  • Electronic batch records (EBR)
  • Production scheduling
  • OEE & yield analysis
  • Product carbon footprint (PCF)
  • ERP integration
  • Audit trail

Capability list only — not customer endorsements.

Five shop-floor problems we address

Traceability & batch genealogy

Bi-directional trace from raw-material lot to finished serial number, with forward/reverse paths delivered in hours, not days.

Equipment connectivity

SECS/GEM, OPC UA, Modbus and serial acquisition. We prove data availability first, then discuss platformisation.

Scheduling & dispatching

Scheduling against due dates, changeovers and capacity; overrides are explicit and explainable — no black-box optimisation.

Quality & electronic batch records

Inspection tasks, SPC alerts, EBR and audit trail — designed to pass customer audits, not only inspections.

Energy & carbon footprint

Process-level energy metering and product carbon footprint calculation for CBAM filings and customer ESG questionnaires.

Integration & deployment: review the list first

These are interfaces we have actually implemented. What is not in your environment will not be forced into the proposal.

Typical integration matrix
SystemProtocol / methodTypical use
ERP (Yonyou / Kingdee / SAP B1, etc.)REST API / intermediate tables / DB viewsWork-order release, production reporting, inventory sync
PLC / SCADAOPC UA, Modbus TCP/RTUEquipment status, output and process parameters
Semiconductor toolsSECS/GEM (HSMS)CIM automation, recipe & remote parameters
LIMS / WMSAPI / file-based interfacesInspection results, batch inventory reconciliation

Deployment & data residency

Default deployment is on-premises (or a customer-designated private cloud). Production data stays inside the customer network; any outbound transfer requires customer-side policy approval. Data-residency, access-control and backup checklists are available under NDA.

Implementation ladder · you can stop at every level

Each level has an independent deliverable. Stopping at any level is a valid outcome — there is no lock-in to the next step.

L1

Site diagnosis

1–2 weeks

Equipment inventory, data availability, traceability gap analysis; concludes whether the project is worth doing.

Site diagnosis report

L2

Minimum closed loop

4–8 weeks

Traceability + production reporting loop live in one workshop and one product line.

Closed-loop acceptance record

L3

Integration & extension

8–16 weeks

ERP / equipment / quality integration; scheduling module goes live.

Interface list & acceptance report

L4

Continuous operation

Ongoing

Version iterations, KPI operation, customer-audit support.
